ABUNDANCE

For today appreciate only the abundance in your life. Where is your bucket full to the brim? Realize fully how sufficiently you have been provided for in that area and let that be the fuel of your life’s precious purpose.

So often we spend time focused on what we don’t have. We let scarcity of one thing or another define who we are and how we feel. We look in the mirror and see not enoughness. We check our bank statements and we see not enoughness, there is not enough of this and there seems to be not enough of that. Sometimes we even let our not enoughness spill over onto the ones we love. Ouch! Sadly as we focus on those insufficiencies they diminish the areas in our lives where there is abundance. We become blind to the beauty right there beside us. We miss the richness in our lives. We miss the very fortune that actually holds us so keenly and confidently every waking day.

Find at least one thing in your life today that is plentiful right now. Think of it or see it, right now, don’t wait. It can be big like your lovers passion for you; it can be small like just enough cream for your morning Joe. Recognize the seed in you heart’s lovely garden. Hold on to it; you got it? Now carefully notice how it builds as you focus on it. Notice how it brightens, as you stay mindful to it. Notice how that old friend not enoughness tries to barge in? Don’t let it yet. Kindly say ‘not now’.  Keep holding the seed, the building of brightness cannot be denied. Hold the fullness. Feel it, love it, it’s all yours. Now very carefully let that confidence wrap itself tightly around the areas of your life you recognized as scarce. Just pick one thing that seemingly isn’t enough. Watch carefully in your mind’s eye and observe how the not enoughness, the one thing you identified, slightly relaxes. It’s subtle I know but it is relaxing. Notice how it changes and your confidence grows. Observe how the two work well in concert. Where there is little there is always more.

For today appreciate only the abundance in your life. Where is your bucket full to the brim? Realize fully how sufficiently you have been provided for in that area and let that be the fuel of your life’s precious purpose.
